Credit Card Best Buy Information - Get the best credit card review
right here with online applications to all credit card companies.
We've analysed the costs and features of all the credit cards available
nationally to find the best-value ones.
Before you choose a credit card, you need to think about how you are
going to use it and what features are important. We’ve listed Best Buys
for people who always pay in full, followed by our Best Buys for those
who use their cards to borrow.
If you always pay your bill in full
If you pay your credit card bills in full each month, you can ignore the
interest rate and choose one of the full-payer Best Buys. All the
full-payer Best Buys give a percentage of everything you spend on the
card back to you as cash – typically 0.5 to 1 per cent. This means that,
for example, if you spend £5,000 on an Egg Visa credit card, you would
earn £25 (0.5 per cent of £5,000).
Best Buys for full payers
If you pay your bill in full each month, choose from these Best Buy
cards. They don't charge an annual fee and they all have an
interest-free period to pay your bill. They also give you cashback as a
percentage of how much you spend on the card.

If you use your card to borrow
If you don't always pay your credit card in full each month, choose one
of the Best Buys for borrowing. We take interest charges and annual fees
into account when we calculate the costs. We also take into account the
many different ways that cards calculate interest. For further details
of how cards charge interest, see The cost of credit. The costs of using
the cards in each scenario are reduced by any cashback that's paid.
We give Best Buys for three different types of borrower. The usual payer
pays three out of four bills in full and the occasional payer pays one
out of every four bills in full. The never payer, as the name suggests,
never pays any bills in full and always has an outstanding balance.
Choose one of the Best Buys from the category that best matches how you
use your credit card.
Best Buys for usual payers
Even if you sometimes don't pay your bill in full, you can still end up
ahead with our Best Buys because of the cashback they pay on purchases.
With our Best Buys, you'd earn up to £21 if you spend £3,900 over a year
and pay three out of four bills in full. With the worst cards, you'd pay
over £40 in interest.
